  • Module 4 & 5, Unit 3: How to create a meal plan template

Module 1, Unit 3

How to build a recipe

SENPRO is a great place to build recipes easily and store them all in one place! From the recipe page, you can export recipes to PDF to share with clients manually; you can post them to your clients feed or add them straight into your clients planner!

Step 1: Click the New Recipe button

Step 2: Enter basic information about the recipe

Give your recipe a name and upload a recipe image. Add information such as prep time, cook time and how many days the recipe stays fresh for.

Step 3: Add ingredients

Add each ingredient into your recipe and modify the quantity and unit, for example [100] [grams]. We’ll calculate the nutrition profile of the recipe. The SENPRO food database is based on the UK McCance and Widdowson food database.

Step 4: Add step by step methods

Next add the step by step methods for your recipe. You can even add step by step recipe photos!

Press save when you’re done!

Press the gold save button when you’re finished. You’ll be able to export the recipe to PDF to upload within unit 3 of module 1.

Module 4 + 5, Unit 3

How to create a meal plan template

Learn how to build a meal plan template using the SENPRO platform. In practice, you can export and share meal plan templates with clients manually, or you can make them visible to clients through the SENPRO platform.

Step 1: Go to Meal Plan Templates

  1. In the main menu, go to Practice Tools, then Meal Plan Templates.

  2. Next click Create Template.

  3. In the side bar, enter the template name, as well as a description. Select the Type of day the template is suitable for.

Step 2: In the meal plan builder, add blocks

You will now be in the meal plan builder. Here you can add blocks (such as breakfast at 08:00), then add foods / recipes into those blocks.

Step 3: Search and add foods / recipes to the block

  1. Click the Add [+] button to add foods or recipes to the block.

  2. A sidebar will appear - use the search bar and / or tags to find suitable foods and recipes to add to the block.

  3. Use the portion toggle to up or down-scale foods and recipes.

  4. Click the [+] button to the left of the food or recipe. This allows you to search and add multiple items to your meal plan in one go to help you save time.

  5. Click the [ADD] button in the gold bar when you’re ready to add the foods & recipes to the block.

Step 4: Repeat for the remainder of the meal plan

Repeat Steps 2 & 3 until you’ve completed the meal plan.

Step 5: Export your meal plan template to PDF

Click the PDF icon to export your meal plan template to PDF. You’ll be able to upload the PDF within unit 3 of modules 4 & 5.
